Fishers spell team finishes in state's top 10

The Fishers High School’s spell team placed among the top ten in state finals last weekend.

The team placed seventh at the Indiana Academic Spell Bowl State Finals held Saturday at Purdue University in West Lafayette.

The team made it to state among the top three winners in the Class 1 category before Pendleton Heights High School, which came in second place, and Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, which placed third.

The 13-member team placed sixth statewide among 11 in its class.

Fishers High School’s spell team is four years old and this was their third state final.
