'My Way' to open Wednesday in Carmel

CARMEL — The Actors Theatre of Indiana is bringing back its musical tribute to Frank Sinatra, by popular demand.
“We get patrons say all the time when are you going to bring back ‘My Way,’” said Don Farrell, who is acting and directing the four-person show.
The actors group played “My Way” in its inaugural show in 2005. They decided to finally bring it back for the group’s first production in the new Carmel Community Playhouse at Clay Terrace.
Performances will run Wednesday through Sunday and Nov. 11-15. The shows will begin at 8 p.m., except for 6 p.m. performances Sunday and Nov. 15.
Tickets are $32.
Farrell lives in Westfield with his wife Judy Fitzgerald, who also is acting in the four-person show.
The other performers are Cynthia Collins, Westfield, and Jon Lambert, Anderson. Farrell, his wife and Collins are the co-founders of Actors Theatre of Indiana.
The production, conceived by David Grapes and Todd Olson, features nearly 60 classic songs from Sinatra’s collection. A three-piece combo band will accompany the actors.
On Nov. 21, a fund-raising Sinatra tribute — cocktails, dinner, dancing and silent and live auctions — will be at The Mansion at Oak Hill, Carmel. Tickets are $85.
“We’re still going to be paying tribute to Sinatra but instead of us doing all the singing, dancing and telling stories, we’re going to let the audience get up and dance to the music,” Farrell said.
